Photographs

Photographs
By R.e. Taylor

Memories of long ago
Hidden in the attic
With feeling no one wanted to bestow
Some are plain, some are cryptic

They are all taken through the ages
Mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers
Even a few who we knew as sages
But, all we see were always our elders

Photographs of paper, film as glass
They are carefully stored inside tissue
Stacked gently to rest amass
Each picture bought back feelings anew

I will go through them one by one
Placing each in its own frame
And only once I am all done
Will their true beauty will they claim
