Hoping to discover just who they are.
It's one way to see our species anew
Like little groups, we study from afar.
Often, we fault those of low intellect
So easily led by egos and pride.
Old bigotries are immune to neglect
Pathetically they haven't all died.
High ideals are susceptible to fraud
Insomuch, as our motives seem spiky.
Zealots and prophets interject their God
Into Mankind’s vulnerable psyche.
Nothing is more essential than id is
Giving man a sense of all that is his.
(This is a first letter "Acrostic Poem" spelling "Philosophizing", in the English (Shakespearean) sonnet form with a typical.. abab cdcd efef gg rhyming scheme.)
