Phantom, Oh Phantom
i do not wish to look upon your face
for it would trouble me so
it would bombard me in my mind
causing another sleepless night for me
for its beauty shall be hid from me
until i can't bear to imagine
what i'm missing from you
such a lovely face
shouldn't be marred or distorted
a tear shouldn't even be allowed to run down your cheek
for it would block my gaze from seeing your face
it would slide effortlessly down
unto another place
leaving a trail behind to mar
such a pretty face
i have never seen such a face as yours is
but it radiates beauty
from every place
so that is why i don't want to see your face
for i will be afraid that if i do
it will be broken
and i won't be able to see your face again
in it's once perfect state.
