Sonnet
Fourteen lines 10 syllables per line with a typical... abab cdcd efef gg rhyming scheme.

To me, ghosts can't be spirits of the dead, though something weird seems to be occurring. For I believe our eyes can be mislead by phantom images that keep recurring. A departed soul would not hang about after leaving a body that is dead. It would undoubtedly figure things out and instantaneously move ahead. Ghost are oft-seen engaged in some routine, as if trapped in a repetitive act. Neither alive nor dead, but in-between, a presumption repeated as a fact. If ghosts are spirits, why do they have clothes, I'm to believe clothes have souls, I suppose? (Sonnet) 1/20/2021
