Phantasma

half awake, half asleep,
light and shade,
night and day,
life on a spinning ball,
black and white
shadow play!
flip the dates on calendar,
watch the seasons go by!
cheer birth, mourn death,
old and new, wet and dry!
on the wings, deep in sand,
haughty arrogant, coy and shy!
joy and tears, love and hate,
good moments, awful fate!
waves and tides, calm and serene,
nature’s fury or eternal bliss,
truth and lies of spoken word,
all the roles that we all play,
but a sage mind can discern,
not to be carried away,
they in fact are same,
but for a deluded mind..
it only seems that way!
