Petrified

My Funk 'n Wagnalls says 'petrified' means scared out of one's hide!

Oft' I've pondered what caused the Petrified Forest to become so 'petrified'!

Funny observation... I enjoy wordplay and when poets make great use of it. What indeed did the forest see? You might have to explain what Funk 'n Wagnalls is though... a dictionary or encyclopedia perhaps?

lol, a petrified forest...the whole forest or just a section that is envious of another section of the forest! Ha ha, I loved this poem, you must think about these things deeply in order to come up with these clever poems! I really enjoyed reading this amazing poem Bob...you are a master of this kind of humor! Keep up the awesome work my friend! Awesome Work!!

I wonder if it becomes petrified at itself. I would be - getting lost in there! :) See your funny side of things, Bob, lol. Love it :)
