Perspective

I am, but what You make me
I judge, but will not forsake
thee
I am loath to forget my foes
And all that stands between
me & my goals...
My first impression is the
definite
Lasting...if not altered its
stains are infinite

I am what You see & not how
I look
Without You, I am but an
empty book
Dusty...unread & ignored...
Even by those ever tempted to
be bored
My recognition is determined
by my outstanding trait
What I intend to show is not
always what You await

Good is good only & when You
choose it to be
I am bad only & when You
expect me to be

I am what I am because of
You
And without You I am not...
Ergo You are mine & I the
cause of You
