Perspective
Perspective
I stand In front of the mirror hoping my eyes will see the through the lenses of someone else's view of me
I lock eyes with my external self
My soul wants to step out but my body holds it back
If eyes are the window to the soul why can't I see it?
I take off my glasses
The magnifying glass of social media slips through my fingers and shatters at my feet
I step away from my telescopic mind-
The glass crunches underfoot
I slowly feel freedom falling
Stop searching
Close your eyes
See nothing
Think nothing
Kill the stress that flows through your thoughts and veins every minute
See life through new lenses
Let your mind be detoxed
Flush out those thoughts
Open your eyes to see yourself for who you are
Forget what they think
No one knows you like you
So you do you and I'll do me
Take a moment
Step back see your life from a different perspective
