Personality of My Life

My mothers’ morals and her quarrels, Shaped my life, with wise words so rife, She was so bold, and frequently told. Her feelings straight, sometimes irate, My father was a quiet man, with a plan. Strong and respected, his style requested. Honor and accuracy, with great diplomacy, Shaping my soul, with a respectful goal, She used lexis, to frame her axis. Using words plain, to show her pain, Using her mind, for everyone combined. She would gain, showing others their disdain. When my father spoke, everyone awoke. Not much to say, but didn’t play. He guided with truth, with great sleuth. Rigid as steel, but had a heart that could feel, Favorite words so pure, came out so sure. “Sticks and stones may break your bones” “Names will never hurt you”, this I now knew. However, they do, but do not stick like glue. My parents gave me reality, with much dignity. Shaped my personality, gave my soul principality. Gave my life meaning, with great intervening, I am proud to say this day; I give love everyway.

Great rhythmical rhyming,Cecil, and you painted a very typical picture of the average family life, how in truth it really is most of the time. But a happy picture, non the less. 'CONGRATULATIONS", Agape, Moses

Your parents sound so much like mine. Dad was very quiet, never punitive but his word was law. Mom was a sweet enforcer, congratulations on your big win. Joyce
