Personal Senryu Inspired

Have existed in yellow

Peaked with gold

Now living in blue

Splendored by red

No longer covered in black

but, staind in deep purple

Jill, reading your notes and reply to Jim's comment gave me the proper perspective in how to appreciate this senryu, for it comes from deep inside you. Hope it got the win and recognition it deserves. You are appreciated, lady. hugs!

Thank you for sharing your attitude of gratitude. I have many things I am grateful for. However, when God created these infinite cosmos of the Universe, she chose specific species to walk in twos on Earth until they each meet again on the other side. Enjoy your view :) I hang tuf...no worries, Jill I hope I did not insult you by taking inspiration from your poem, you didn't say.

Jill, today....when i walk in the woods, i can smell pine-needles underfoot as Red Pines tower above me (there is actually a red (Norway) Pine within reach on my deck of my 2nd story condo!) a blessing i am grateful for, that is enough....

I knew you would respond! The title to my poem is an indirect dedication to you, who taught me Senryu :] I'm a fan. This holiday has been the most difficult for me for the last 7 years. This is the 8th Memorial Day without my husband. Earlier in one of your replys you inquired about SunshineWilliams. She is our daughter that I will one day meet on the other side along with my Jimmy. For know I will breathe. Thanks for helping me to take deeper breaths Jimbo!
