Persnickety

“Persnickety” is placing too much emphasis On trivial or minor details **** is another good way to describe it Uptightness usually prevails Be careful when you call someone persnickety Most don't take to it kindly Better be ready to defend yourself my friends They'll come at you swinging wildly Don't know why people get so damn upset It's only a word for goodness sakes It's better than calling them a “nincompoop” Or even a “gorilla face” Well it's still not exactly a compliment I'd say The opposite most likely is true A persnickety person can drive you up the wall And you'll feel like throwing your shoes © Jack Ellison 2014

Dragon likes 'Gorilla Face'. He's seen your picture and wants a white beard, too! Thinks it'll make him look very wise! But he can't fool us! He wants to look like Jack... and Santa Claus. Cause everyone loves Jack and Santa... But Grandpa Troll said Poor Dragon will never get a beard. To distract him I got a baseball throwing machine to get his chocolates to his mouth... But he jumps when it goes off and they miss his mouth! His penguins get them all! Quick little guys! Who would of thunk?

My wife can be awfully persnickety at times and she doesn't even know she's doing it! I wouldn't exactly call that word a bad word, it just describes a certain type of person, and my person is very loving and wonderful, just a little attentive to details! Oh this word is perfect for her really, I'm glad you wrote a poem about it...I will share it with her! Hee hee! Oh don't worry, she won't get mad, maybe a smidgen defensive, but not mad! I really enjoyed reading this awesome poem this morning!!
