Persnickety
“Persnickety” is placing too much emphasis
On trivial or minor details
**** is another good way to describe it
Uptightness usually prevails
Be careful when you call someone persnickety
Most don't take to it kindly
Better be ready to defend yourself my friends
They'll come at you swinging wildly
Don't know why people get so damn upset
It's only a word for goodness sakes
It's better than calling them a “nincompoop”
Or even a “gorilla face”
Well it's still not exactly a compliment I'd say
The opposite most likely is true
A persnickety person can drive you up the wall
And you'll feel like throwing your shoes
