Persevering Faith

PERSEVERING FAITH We are commanded to walk by faith and not by sight We are commanded to engage in the battle and win the fight Even when times get tough and we want to walk away It is through persevering faith and prayer that we can stay. Through the tough times that is where our character is formed Though the battle rages on God has a purpose for the storms In the refiners fire He has promised us that He is always there That is why we can forever rest in His comfort and loving care. Trusting Him through the darkest times is how our faith will grow Walking not by what we see but by His truth we have come to know Being filled with His Spirit we can overcome all doubt and fear Putting on the whole armor of God we press on and draw near. The enemy’s sole purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy He wants to take away your faith, peace, and joy This is why we must remain in the battle and refuse to depart With God’s Spirit empowering us we will not faint or lose heart. The joy of victory that comes from faith and perseverance It builds Christ like character, strength, and endurance Therefore a reward is laid up for us in heaven that eternal resting place Reserved for those of us who are conquerors through His amazing grace!
