Perpetual Ripple

Declarations of love I rue,
A romance that dealt my end,
Poems were written only for you,
A broken heart I promised to mend.

We've lost each other along the way,
Prideful and conceited we were,
But I still want to see you Today,
Using this poem as another lure.

I just want to go back,
Back when life was simple,
Please revitalize the happiness I lack,
And send my heart into a perpetual ripple.
