Perils of Being a Senior

Our phone has rung six times in an hour. The same speech. A robot offering us senior services. We have asked them not to call us. On call four they said we would be taken off their list. Calls five and six were real people Saying they were from Senior Services. The perils of being on a list of oldsters We will not be surprised to get calls seven and eight. We sit here staring at the phone. Disappointed because we both have our Hands ready and the onslaught has seemed to stop. Repeat tomorrow night. Sixth day in a row. Perils of having a birthday in The fifties

Yep, it gets even worse; one day they'll be call'in to get your credit card numbers, retirement money and more.

I have a girlfriend who asked me if everything was all right as my computer has been hacked and she got a weird message from me that did not make a bit of sense. It was not actually FROM me of course. Why I called her instead of the other way around is anyone's guess.

Enjoy being 50! I think I told you, I have no listed phone number. Cool. Get at most 5 calls a year. Perhaps an alternate cheapo cell phone Might help. You seem to know the tomes they call? Unplug the phone? Never mind...just being silly, Panagiota

Although I'm not even a senior yet- I've somehow managed to get on these 'lists' anyway...?! The most ironic calls are the pre-recorded ones that start with "This is not a sales call. This is in response to your request for information about ____...", (fill in blank with whatever we NEVER needed or asked for). Grrrrr!!! It's ridiculous!

They came in on 4 different numbers -within 20 minutes with the same speech.
