Perils Into Light
There was a time in the past when I wasn't to kind..
I never saw true beauty as I always walked blind..
I would rip a rainbow in half just to watch it bleed...
The rain would be my salvation as the sun I would heed..
Words and rhymes were so far back in my head to find...
And I was stuck on a clock that refused to ever wind..
Then the perils of life poured over me and brought me a light...
And those hands on the clock moved without a fight..
Now my easel holds a rainbow that I painted back to health...
I surrounded it with poetic words filled with love from myself...
Maybe an Angel I'm still not, but at least I now what I got...
