Perhaps Another Time

I thought you loved me
Yet you just feel the same way.
I tried so hard to understand
But in the end I watched you walk away.
Gone all those years is when I began to realize it wasn’t me,
You needed to find your space, your path ,your reality.
And now after all these years that has passed by
I realize you too have passed on and sadly I never got to tell you good bye.
And now as I sit here I close my eyes and smile ,
I hope you found your destiny and you enjoyed it for a while.
And though the time it was not meant to be
Perhaps in another time, another place we will see.
