Performers Vs Believers

Performers seek to impress
And bragging is the way they confess
Flaunting the gleam, the colour, the bells and whistles
Hiding the scars from thorns and thistles
They must laugh though they want to weep
For there's a face and impression to keep.

Believers seek to keep the faith
While intellectuals laugh off their so called myth
Bearing the joy upon which the world frowns
Bearing their crosses till they can wear their crowns
They are for God's perfect purposes
Shining their light no matter how dark the world poses.

K. Muitherero.
