Perfect Time of Day
Cotton candy colours
stretch across the sky.
The summer heat is waning
as day goes floating by.
Sunsets here are glorious.
Too beautiful to ignore.
So I take a moment to step outside.
It leaves me wanting more.
The violets and lavenders
and pinks of several shades,
they only last a few minutes
as into darkness it fades.
A moment on the deck
to just enjoy the view.
The perfect time of day
to whisper "God, thank you".
