Perfect 10

Mind over matter it's time for a change I'm shooting for my one high star --- a high range I'm going for someone better at last I'm glad my old four years went by so fast Discipline and loyalty in this one guy Who makes me feel as high as the sky His ocean-blue eyes blush my fair cheeks He's been gone a day but it feels like weeks His laughing stare tells me everything's alright And so for him I fight with all of my might I'll give him the sun, the moon, and the skies After all these years of failed tries Although he's not here to make me shine He and I both know he's still all mine This battle with him I know I'll win For this time around, I feel I've scored a perfect 10 I see his face from where I sit He's mending my heart, bit by bit I can't wait until we start this show And make everything go at an even flow Now at last he's scored my heart Even though right now we are apart

Lovely penning Sheryl, you are indeed a master of rhyme for which I so love writers who only write rhyme !like me. We seem at times to be a scarce breed. Blessings,Gordon
