Perception

The water rushes past me; life
I stand here strong
Solid as a rock

I am resisting the notion I have to go with the flow
Do I let go or remain
The thought of it seems easier to remain for many reasons
But to flow with the water as it rushes past seems simply carefree

Can I be that free
It's rushing past me; opportunities
I just have to let loose

Something inside is keeping me here
I'm stuck; my head and heart
My feet want to move

What is it I ask myself?
It's deep
Very deep
Not the water, my gut; the feeling inside
I stand here lost in a sense looking for meaning

Nothing
Another day wasted? I change over time and time has yet to tell

The sun rises and I rise as well
Could today be the day the decision is made?
The mystery keeps me on my toes
 I will find my way,
One way or another
