Perception
We like to point fingers at the things we perceive
To bring us down
And cause harm to our well-being
In order to avoid these enemies like the plague
But the scariest truth is that these things
Our enemies
Are not always objective and obvious
They aren't always things we can easily remove from our lives
They are tangled deep within our veins
Like a cancerous tumor on an important organ
Intertwined with benevolent and neutral traits we have
We can not cut out all of our bad parts
Without losing or damaging the good parts that make us
Who we are
