It happened to a sweet friend from another poetry site that I also belong to! She met this fellow poet online who turned out to have a drinking and medication overdose problem! He physically attacked her trying to chock, broke her computer and other stuff! The police were called and a restraining order was issued! He has since moved back to Chicago which is about 600 miles away! Befriending someone on the Internet is a risky business at best!!!
