People of Babylon

By the river of no return
Where we sat
There we wait 
Remembering our homeland 

We were taken into captivity 
Requiring from us total submission 
How shall we recite the Lord's Hymn ?
In a strange man land

Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! 
Voices humming! 
We poured out the meditation of our heart into the river 
As our voices could no more be heard
