People: My Thought For the Day

Has anyone ever been slighted?
Is anyone ever upset?
Do you ever think of revenge?
I hope not and yet…
There are some that cannot let things go
It’s hard-but hate they seem to show
Why can we not forgive each other?
And live as we should like sister and brother…
But they have their own problems as well
It’s a shame in life - something’s we cannot tell
Of our love for each other we should not use spite
Revenge should be banished - and so should slight…
I don’t mean we should be all lovey-dovey or more
Just get on with life which can be a chore
Help and not hinder - love and not hate
Greet with open arms - never slam the gate…
We are people together, in a life that is hard
Let’s get on with it now and say badness is barred
Live and let live, and I don’t mean those that are bad
I want people to get on- but even I am not that mad…
