People and Power
Would any be at ease being no longer able to open a door?
Or tie their laces? Or spit on the floor?
Or being lifted by a powerful wind? Up and around
And lost in the roar of its spin?
Or ride off; of Niagras edge?
On a plank not dressed, nor ready no warning said'
Is there more fear in sudden change?
All at once being helpless, do you follow my train?
The train of thought, I here employ
To explore our needs man woman girl boy.'
Is what is the power, you value?
And why? What would you loose that's way too you?
Is it fear I skirt around? You would feel?
If the devil came to destroy and steal'
Yet you shall face, either late or soon
Almighty God who will say make room'
He comes unseen' He comes in power'
Be sure you pray, and watch these hours'
For when structures near you melt into Him
Strength's no value, You'll feel your sins
Then your fear will become plain, no more of earth
Will yield you gain'
And so then fear, of what You'll lose is the fear
Of actions gone past, and effects unmoved'
For God supreme will come and go..
No power may bid him stay; or no'
So really your fear belongs to you of what you'd loose
And what you can't do'
Yet God is patient, in Him no fear'
It's you, you need to understand; to me it's so clear'
