Pensacola

As we crossed the bridge over Mobile Bay I had yet to realize that this was the day Our hearts were as one or so it felt But I was not certain of the card I’d been dealt Our plan, our purpose, our reason for being so far south Was changed in your mind, it came from your mouth What was, was gone, no choice but to start again Could I find it in me, still to be a good friend The rage and the anger, the sorrow and the guilt Our love was a home, a stronger foundation it had built The feeling is similar here, echoes of the past ask how Please love me for me, is what I am pleading now
