Maureen, your monoku is very abstract in itself - it is effective by not having the appearance of being complete..if you get my meaning. :) That’s my take anyway. ..and at the end of the day how do you describe in writing the painter’s works such as his anti war painting ‘Guernica’? Cheers - Gary

It’s that emotional response that we aim for as artists. There’s a wonderful interview with Tommy Lee Jones about art in reference to Natural Born Killers where he talks about Guernica, of something of beauty expressing the horrors of war. Thank you Gary!
