Penniless Knuckleheads

The experts predict by 2050, we'll all live to over a hundred A lot of us will say, nope, that's not for this old muddlehead Ninety years seems quite long enough When the money runs out and things get tough And we all end up in a home as penniless knuckleheads © Jack Ellison 2015

My Dad says experts means: 'ex' as in 'has beens and 'sperts' as in immession of gas... I've heard that one all my life... I think it's a strong will and a good constitution that keeps us here... And a great curiosity to see more... of course! In short you'll be here until you give up.

My mum's great great great aunt lived to 111 and 121 days and was in the Guinness book of records. Don't get me started on the cost of care homes - the ones who spend all their money get it for free - the ones who save have to sell their house to pay for the cost as we have done with mum - grrrr :-) hugs jan xx Do drop by and see me sometime:-) xx
