Pending Changes

Morphing moments of the seasons;
shifting winds blow from the north.
Feeling chills and seeking reasons
for the changes coming forth.

Ebbing tides seen in the oceans
leaving shorelines dry and bare.
Moving slowly through the motions,
trepidation in the air.

Clouded skies add to the darkness
on this bleak November night;
in the dim I feel the starkness,
symptoms of a pending blight.

Turning pages on this journey
closing in on chapter’s end.
Morphing moments of my lifetime;
working days I now expend.

As long as you don't retire from poetry...

' Feeling chills, for the changes coming forth. ' This thought tugs deeply at my heart, and I feel a connection somehow to those changes. You've earned it. Those moments of relaxation. Enjoy them all, my dear sweet friend. Many wonderful blessings to you, always. Hugs, Brandy
