Pen To Paper

From pen to paper, I must write..
To vent my sorrow, just for tonight.

You were my world once upon a time.
Analyzing every memory, is now my pastime.

A tear falls from my face, as I write down this verse.
Every detail of “ us” my mind continues to reherse.

Will they quit, these feelings that hinder me?
Only time will tell, is all I can say simply.

This was a good poem Erin. Not perfect in the rhyhtym and flow. I can see you with pen in hand as you write. I can feel the tear that has drenched my cheek as well. Sadness. Loss. Dispair. Sorrow. The dictionary is full of terms that convey how we feel. The important thing is that we as poets have a common ground and an ability to purge those feelings to make room for more in our soul. Rockman :-)
