The peepers start early here, 9usually the end of March, depending on snow amounts and temps), but the fireflies are not until mid-June, July, but they still represent warmth for me, and the tree frogs are one of my favorite things on the plant ... such a hauntingly beautiful song of life and hope, and yet so small you can't see them unless you look VERY closely - diminutive, and few creatures have such a sweet song! :-) <3 (There's one who lives on a plant by my sliding glass doors to the deck ... I put him on my thumbnail and he was small enough to not cover it all!
