Pecks

red cardinal pecks seeds from last year's red pepper.... between spring showers
I did wonder will I have volunteer banana pepper plants coming up all our yard, garden and the woods? LOL

Hello Sara, A haiku of depth, vivid colour, and originality has been created by your golden pen. I’m most impressed by your Short Story “The Wishing Star.” A review has been posted by me this morning in the comments section. Howard

Thank you, Howard, for the visit here and to my short story. I haven't checked on them in some time because I don't think people go there very much. Sara

When birds peck at pepper, some of them will fall to the ground and with spring rain, they will sprout ! So your wonder is not out of place, Sara ! Good haiku !

I like the idea, Sara, that your haiku has been inspired - in part or whole - by what you observed through your kitchen window. A true poet at work. :) Cheers - Gary

Thank you, Gary. Yes, I enjoy looking out the kitchen window. It helps the cooking and cleaning pass better. Sara

I wonder if the Red Cardinal was enlivened when he got through eating the pepper seeds? Thanks for the visit. SK

Tom, I know spring is almost here and it is truly a nice time of the year minus the pollen, but that comes with the territory. Your visits always encourage. Sara
