Pearls Like Tears

To lost everything in the hope of getting something, To say nothing in the hope of saying one thing, To drink tears in the hope of getting a loving smile, I have seen the blooming of Rose buds amid the piercing thorns And have seen the glittering morning dew drops, Not becoming Pearls due to sunrise. I have also seen pearl like tears rolling from eyes, While the lover’s beloved waited and waited for her love, For innumerable days and nights. Ravindra Kanpur India 20th December. 2009 Written originally in Hindi quite some time back and Translated on 20.12.2009

wo w this is a beautiful poem great imagery which is the main thing i look for in a poem and heart wrench lines from begining to end. it must feel great to have the power to make people FEEL using only words and not even being able to speak those words the way you intended them to be heard and still convey that feeling in the end, you have a true gift in that mind of yours!=)jo
