Pearlescent Moon

Pearlescent moonbeams glowing
through the gathering mist
lights my way down a path of
emerald grass the dew has kissed

Ahead the lake just sparkles
aglow in that pearly light
An owl hoots from the old oak tree
his voice echoing into the night

This night now draped in shadows
as I stroll this path alone
a peaceful calm serenity
stays with me as I walk home.

What is it about lunar poetry that is so peaceful? Such a lovely poem into my favorites it goes.

Three short but beautifully written stanzas that I had to read a second and third time because the feeling it washed over me was so soothing and comforting, I just had to go back for more. You must have used a brush to create this Lenna, because it is a poetically painted masterpiece. This reminds me of summer nights. I can almost see you walking down this path. Absolutely beautiful my friend.
