Peals and Gems

In my mind both are beautiful
It’s like choosing a peaceful battle
Cause they both are genuine
And very cultivated in such a way
It takes work to gather them
Polish essence a layer that sticks out
You can see yourself in them
It is better than gold at times
And they sparkle like the stars
If I had a choice I would have them 
Lying around the place as decor
A simple thought for a simple person
A pearl is like the heart of the sea
A gem is the smooth surface of earth
The pearls surface is like the earth
Round and smooth in areas
A gems surface can be smooth but
Also jagged and sharp like the sea
The qualities of beauty and fear
The Delicate thought that is given
The time spent to create a master piece
Tokens that reaches far beyond words
To me I’m probably exaggerating, but fun
These two items are equally as one
The beauty of owning them is a question
It causes war in some areas
And creates growth in some
All the years of study a venue life
A pearl and gem is just unlike
They seem to last forever through time
A rich that never blooms or thrown
I simple think that they both hold souls
