Plump, firm, and juicy - Enticing summer delight, Achingly luscious, Captured from your soft tree swing, Hacked up and baked in a pie.

Thank you Beata - I love peaches. I sent someone to the store a few days ago to plck up 6 peaches and they came back with 6 nectarines - haha. Luckily, nectarines are good too!

I didn't understand the soft tree swing but I thought you cleverly described this fruit and using the words hacked up was humorous to me. I hate peaches but this is a peach of a poem. Congrats

Haha, thanks, the sudden change to hacking up the peach appealed to my questionable sense of humor too - so I'm glad you liked it. Hate peaches? Wow, that's hard to believe - lol. "Soft tree swing" popped into my mind as I imagined a peach swaying gently back and forth in the breeze while still attached to a tree by a stem.

I love this recipe poem. Food poems always bring Julia Child to mind. I can smell that pie baking

I just bought peaches today. I do make the occasional peach cobbler. I'll have to make one while peaches are in season!
