Peacespeaker

Peacespeaker why do you hide in shadows,
Even rhetorical questions must have an answer.
Angst is invading the world
Chaos is the flag it unfurls,
Even the meek and the mild
Seem to have been beguiled.
Peacespeaker come out of the night,
Envelope us all in your light;
Answer the yearning in our hearts,
Kind wisdom your word imparts,
Each of us takes what we need,
Regifting it freely as you have decreed.

These are your best two lines in your poem. "Peacespeaker come out of the night, Envelope us all in your light;" Your call to action at the end of this poetic gem is exactly what we all should do. Congratulations on your win in my contest.

Your acrostic is vividly descriptive and so expressive, Chetta. Blessed are the peacemakers~~or peacespeakers. The world needs more of them!! Janice

Thank you. Yes, sadly, true Peacespeakers are few and far between.
