Peaceful Hours

The night is still and all asleep
God’s creatures now their silence keep
While moonbeams shine on land and sea.
We put to rest a long, hard day  
Our stress and worries fly away—
For this time, dear God, we thank Thee.

Nature sleeps through the quiet night
And nothing will disturb the light
