Peace Song

I was never paired with you nor ever shall I see you're not amused and mad appearing before my eyes in full clad I'm set to make space for your noble grace, though you suffer in many place. Armed men tremble by your sight enough to enable them to your light. I hasten to pair my deliverance, but we're still at quite a distance. It's my heart that's mired in mud words of wisdom essentially rubbed. Pour me your wine, I finally sing all that peace might bring, a sweet song, like a bird song flapping its wings, singing the songs of freedom, that breaks the chain of captives, that brings down walls of hate and prejudice, that reverberates all day and night, a song that makes men and women walk hand in hand, and sign together in four corners of the world.
