7/26/2025 for peace of mind Poetry Contest sponsored by Kai Michael Neumann

During my time on our blue-green sphere, I sometimes feel turmoil, living here. I've found ideas I can release to ease my mind and give it peace. I do not need to have lots of things. Pleasure is found in what nature brings. I don't need to prove myself to my brothers. If I'm okay with me, I can forget the others. If there's trouble, and I'm thrown into it, the "Serenity Prayer" is how I view it. If I can change it, I'll try to do it. If I can escape it, I'll say, "screw it". Otherwise, I accept it and live through it. All things must pass. George Harrison knew it.

I, too, cleave to "The Serenity Prayer"--if affords such peace. Well penned, David. Best wishes with the contest, Sara

You exposed very well the core of peace of mind in a wonderful set of rhymes. A great layer of metaphors adorns every verse. Good luck with the contest.
