Peace Now

Speaking out like the great Malcolm X,
My words might make, many people vex,
The future of our children should be our interest,
So why should we sit and watch, while they turn
our world into a mess,
We dream of our kids becoming the next star,
While they eat and drink and dream about war,
Their minds are dark, future views ain't far,
Intention is a world of death and deep scars,
First thing in your minds, ready the rockets,
Jingling the lives of fathers and sons, like coins
in your pockets,
A next human skull, you send men to crack it,
Is that a solution, think again, stop it,
Peace and love, you surly lack it,
Let's all unite, humans endorse and back it,
Without citizens support, our leaders are nothing,
Worldwide, let's take a stand for peace, let them
know we ain't bluffing...

This message is awesome. I am not just a writer and a poet, i am an artist, i once painted a face one side a black woman one side white against hate and all forms of prejudice and against teaching hate, for teaching love and tolerance to all of humanity. we all cry, all feel sorrow, all fell love and joy! Great content here with a real message! i believe in building bridges not burning them!!

Excellent poem, honest and to the point. It has a rhythm like a drum beat (to me anyway)..as if to drive the message along. I look forward to reading more of your work soon.

I'm finally back after all these months of not posting any poetry, but once I'm here its your poetry that inspires me to write more. and your poetry that I read first. Agree with what you say, it's a cruel world we live in.
