Peace Dove

Dove flew high in sky, Olive Branch in her beak; Thought would strew, Peace in the world, But far away, A hawk On the tree, was, Calculating distance and timing, To catch it's pray; Dove watched from height, Said "Hey you don't kill me, I am on mission to spread, Peace in the world; The Hawk laughed loudly, And said, "You stupid, I hunt you For my survival, You run, escape is your survival; We both have instinct to survive, One is meant for another; World people are idiots, They don't know the word 'peace', Peace is only a slogan, Taught by politicians; In practice, Are violent selfish lot, Hold olive branch in left hand, In right the latest gun; They won't reform, Violence is in their blood, allured by greed and creed; Leave peace phenomenal, To them, Let's play hide and seek"; © Sadashivan Nair
