Peace

Should we belay our quest to harm,
And offer hands that would seek peace;
If we should speak a word of calm,
To soothe that rage within us deep;
If words and deeds could be a way;
To balance out falsehoods at play;
Could we agree that in this space;
Whilst looking for our perfect place,
And seeking too a friendly face;
We two could work to save our race;
We too could share a sweet embrace.
