Peace?

Peace, where did you go?
Did you ever exist?
Throughout every page in history
It is something that was dismissed

War as always come too easy
From the brothers first kill
Now conflict is a normality
Love thy neighbour lost its will

Peace was a concept
We all chose to ignore
When we looked over the horizon
Greed always wanted more

What do we fight for
Who really wins in the end
When futures are destroyed
To early graves we do send

We bruise with our words
Deliver hate with our thought
Love is an emotion
That we were never taught

We switch on the tv
The ads are filled with pain
Animals and humans
Being abused once again

News, an ever constant
Highlighting misery galore
We search for immunity
But the world shouted 'more'

How much more heartache
Can we continue to endure
Where segregation is accepted
We are no nearer a cure

Is it all a pipedream
To live in a world without hate
We all must come together
Before it is too late?

Peace we yearn for you
Please come and fill up our heart
The answer is in front of us
But where do we start?

Healing divisions
Finding a way
All nations in unity

Lets start today!
