Peace

Hey! you comrades hear my cry I am subdued in woe and senseless violence Thoughts of woe that trigger my mind But I know of peace as the antidote Put on the robe of selfless deeds and pure thoughts Then hold my hands let’s walk along And let our bond be our strength Though downtrodden, weak and our hearts are weary. Hey! you cadets my brothers be Burn your guns and egos now And watch the flames release our peace Hey, you beautiful daughters of the sun Spit out those words that wound your heart And let the ears that care listen. Hold my starving hands and walk along Adorn yourselves in this blissful and hopeful march Sweetened by the beauty of unity Hail you noble hearers of my cry Revamp my strength to fight this battle. To crush these hurdles that made us part, To crush these egos and hateful thoughts, That seized me from my comrades. The wind has whispered its message And the birds have sang it in their hymn, Peace is the antidote. Throw away those unholy thoughts to the winds And rejoice in the splendor of beautiful peace Denounce violent extremism Then the darkness of tomorrow shall be brighter than today’s light Hail you noble hearers of my tidings Harness my cry and instigate my hope.
