Paying For Nothing

not so long ago
tv was not cable or a satellite dish,
it was a roof antenna
with directional remote control,
except for the cost of the set reception was free
and now, indulge or not
it's a monthly payment
for your dormant time

Speak the honest to goodness truth, Sista Souljah. Air now cost money too. Spot-on poetry. Love and peace always.

All so true ... Personally, I last owned a TV in 1973, so I guess I'm just "not in the loop." :) gw

It is a mind control experiment. Hardly ever watch the tv and have the full package downstairs but never go down and watch it and not sure why we keep it. Oh yeah sports. lol love phyl

the advertising makes it look like the public isn't winning...andt', all the news does it echo politicians voices on this issue or that (campaign advertising)

Before we were satisfied with watching a few free to air channels via an aerial on the roof, and our time was well managed. Now it's the other way round. Regards // paul

How times have changed. The cost for electronic dependency is astronomical.

it's absolutely mind boggling, paying for no-time...it's the new norm...there's always an age of deserve(rs) ...what did we do to bring this on?
