Pay Homage

Goals to set
    Plans to make
  Awards to win
    Get fit, get thin

  Time's a wastin'
    C'mon 'n push harder
  No wavin' white flags
    Full bore, you're no martyr

  Who just shrieked
    a buckle of whose knee
  Why's my back stiff
    What's happening to me ...

  Your body's just telling you
    it can no longer do
  What you were always taught
    was good for you ...

  Time to turn the page
    acknowledge onrushing age
  Render devotion to abeyance ~
    Pay homage to patience

Old age comes to everyone, but we never think it will come to us.

And once it hits us, there's no going back either. Whoa!
