PATRIARCHY

Patriarchy

A world in decay
more so every day.
Our civilization
is going astray

People just getting by
despite how hard they try.
Billionaires lavish
while "common folk" die.

Theological tropes
give misguided hopes.
Bastardizations
by preachers and popes.

Distorting their creeds
to suit depraved needs
Make mothers in parking lots
wait while they bleed.

Beneath ceilings of glass
relentlessly harassed
Raped, beaten, and blamed.
Forced to be second class.

Children slaughtered in school
still no changing of rules.
Hands dripping with blood.
Thoughts and prayers are just cruel

LBGTQ
they're coming for you too.
Purporting them groomers,
causing hatred to spew.

Scapegoating blacks
while holding them back.
Stoking hatred and fear
that fuel racist attacks.

Migrants come to this land
across long desert sands.
Pegged as invaders,
yet no weapons in hand.

Destroyed native nations.
No consideration
genocidal onslaught
for the white man's station.

They're bought and paid for
political whores
routinely betraying
the oath once they swore.

They contend without clue.
Red hamstringing blue.
No child care, no tax cuts,
no healthcare for you.

A shallow veneer,
Abundantly clear.
lay blame to the others
To hide their own fear.

Propaganda soaked news
pushing treasonous views.
The conservative's blueprint
to enslave and abuse.

All part of the plan
of the wealthy white man.
Working the masses,
taking all that they can

The powers that be
throughout history.
All that's wrong with the world,
the Patriarchy.
