Patina
Youth may be fresh and divinely stunning
But is there anything quite as poignant
As the charm of weathering gracefully
The reveal of one's lifetime achievements
Through well-earned lines and colored patina
Years of exposure to the elements
To the distressing throes of life itself
Sheen interpreted as peace or wisdom
youth giving way to grace and harmony
not resisting life but mastering it
