Patiently I Dream

I patiently dream
of life's treasures...
Gleaned from
Ancient histories
That are of simple and exotic lives...
Instead of well-learned
Repetitions....
Of countless countries
Coursed by war...
Where there seems
The wars shall never end.
Yet, I dream of a future
filled by peacefulness
joy and laughter
the warmth of togetherness
Through a true brother-sisterhood
shared by all of humanity
That's what I am after
They call me a dreamer
I say let us all take
part of this dream
Until then I shall continue
to give voice...
As patiently I await the dream...
